The last time I let a model handle mailing shoes, it was almost a disaster. Took 5 months for Dawn to mail her black waitress flats. So this time around, I prepaid and took the model’s shoes. Wasn’t cheap at all.

Walking and Slipping in Boat Shoes

November 8th, 2011 3 comments

The first video I did four years ago was a candid of a guy walking in slippers with the backs folded down. On this one, it’s deja vu all over again;)

This guy was walking in front of me. Both his tan boat shoes were loose, but the left one was untied, and I had a perfect rear view of his black-socked heel slipping out of it with every step.

At the crosswalk, he had to stop, and for a few seconds he did some shoeplay. I loved the sound of those loose boat shoes scuffing on the concrete and then the granite subway floor.

I did wonder why he didn’t just stop and tie his shoe. Maybe he gets the same rush out of shoe-slipping as I did watching him. Maybe it was just more comfortable. Anyway, enjoy.

How to break in boat shoes?

July 5th, 2011 2 comments

I recently purchased a pain of Dockers boat shoes, and after wearing them I have experienced cuts and blisters on my heels. I have worn friends’ boat shoes and they have felt fine. Do I just need to wear them until they loosen up? And if so how long does that usually take? Also they fit perfectly, so I don’t think that is the problem.
Also, how long do you think it would take to develop callouses on my heels, assuming I am in the shoes for about 8-10 hours per day?

Boat shoes always cause these problems because of their unique shape. Your feet will adjust in a couple of weeks though, and they will be fine 🙂

Can I wear boat shoes while rowing?

June 6th, 2011 1 comment

The other day, I went to a Rowing club to get some info, and I saw some guy wearing boat shoes with his trunks and stuff. Can you wear baot shoes while rowing recreationally? What about competitively? It think it would be so cool if you could.

No, there are typically shoes attached to the boat, so you take off your shoes before getting in and leave your shoes on the dock or if you want you can bring them with you, and you put your feet in the shoes in the boat. Many people wear boat shoes because they are easy to slip on and off on the dock.

Women’s Water Shoes

Teva Women’s Westwater Mary Jane shoes are perfect for that wet getaway. I’ve always had a problem finding the perfect shoes for the beach. Usually, I use flip flops but I usually find it a burden when they suddenly come off while walking. And it’s definitely a no-no when swimming! Sandals could work. I tried them but I soon realized that it had to be a special kind or else walking on water would destroy the fabric, and sometimes irritate the skin. I decided that when I could, I’d try to find those perfect beach sandals.

That’s when I stumbled upon this special type of Teva Mary Janes. I decided to quit manually searching for it through various stores and chose to find the perfect pair through the internet. After being persuaded by many good reviews about it, I ordered a pair online. I didn’t regret this decision of mine for when I received it, I loved it at once! It looked pretty stylish. I adored it even more when I wore it for the first time. I then found myself wearing it for the rest of the day without experiencing any hassles from it. It was soft to my feet and didn’t feel yucky at all.

Later on, I was surprised to find out the real price. Buying it online was a real bargain for me and the shoes served me well. I haven’t actually used in the beach but I got to try them on at a pool party one of my friends threw. It felt comfortable all through out the day and even with the water, my feet did not have any unwanted odor afterwards. I’m actually thinking of recommending it to my girl friends for our upcoming beach trip. I really got a great deal with these Teva Women’s Westwater Mary Jane shoes.
