What’s the best way to deodorize stinky boat shoes?

by admin on January 29, 2010

I use a diluted bleach solution. I don’t really measure it, but don’t use too much or it will eat your shoes. Let them soak for a few (2-3) hours, then rinse well and put them under a fan to dry them. If you set them out to dry with no fan, they dry slower and get moldy/stinky again.

Put some baking soda in them , be sure to shake it all around the inside. Let set over night and it should be much better.

When I was a kid, my mom would put my smelly old tennis shoes (sneakers) in the washing machine.

Best Wishes
