I think it also depends on the brand as sizes vary a lot by brand. The size 5 sneakers we got at Walmart for him are getting a little tight but he can still wear them. We just recently got him a pair of size 6 sneakers from Babies R Us and a pair of size 6 boots from JCPennys. The sneakers fit him just fine, but the boots are still too big on him (they fall off when I try to put them on him). She has been wearing the baby shoes 6-9 months. She finally outgrew them now, I'm going to have to upgrade to the next size. I have little feet as well, they are size 5Take the 18 month old to the store and hold the boots/shoes up to his feet to make sure they're going to fit.
