i have this multicolored boat shoe which is in shades of blue, orange and green. now i’m having trouble trying to match it with a bottom i.e. jeans, khakis, shorts, any ideas and what color should it be in? thanks alot….
DO NOT WEAR JEANS, that may be the most horrendous idea I’ve heard all day. Jeans and Boat Shoes do not mix unless it’s a very dark shoe.
I say go with linen pants or regular shorts (maybe matching one of the colors on the shoe). The bottoms should be a solid color with no pattern or else it becomes too much flash.

Boat shoes are a casual shoe that can be worn with everything from jeans to linen pants (but linen wrinkles horribly). I’d stick to jeans or khakis and then wear an orange or green shirt for the top. Although casual, boat shoes are more dressy than sneaks or flip-flops, so your jeans should be classic dark blue with no distressing or intentional rips. You’ll look great!! : P
